Description:
The automatic film applicator with heated vacuum bed is made for an easy and reproducible film application. In contrast to manual application the application speed can be set accurately and is always constant. Manual application causes variations between different users.
This machine has a heated vacuum bed which is used to fixate the substrate (for example: plastic panels, test chart, plastic film, etc.) to be coated without clamp and afterwards grants an easier drying. First this allows you to apply the whole surface area of your substrate and second an easier drying process directly on the machine without carrying the coated substrate to an oven which could lead to run off. No coating should leak into the vacuum holes.
The application is done automatically with a bar coater or with a film applicator (single, double, four sided, adjustable film applicator, etc.). A bar coater is not necessarily needed.
Application with bar coater: For any wet film thickness you will need an individual bar coater*. It applies on the whole surface area. The bar coater has to have a diameter between 10 – 13 mm and a length of 320 mm.
Application with a film applicator: The wet film thickness depends on the used film applicator and the film width depends on the film applicators length.
The following options can be adjusted on the English display:
Film size: DIN A4 (250 mm), DIN A3 (350 mm) or customizable from 0 to a maximum of 360 mm, adjustable in 1 mm steps.
Application speed: From 50 mm/s to 300 mm/s, adjustable in 1 mm/s steps. Optionally also from 10 mm/s to 140 mm/s, adjustable in 1 mm/s steps.
Back speed: From 50 mm/s to 200 mm/s, adjustable in 1 mm/s steps.
You can set and save 6 different settings. Every setting can be assigned with a name and you can indicate a value for viscosity and film thickness as additional information.
